Starting November 2, the Teatro Olimpico will also be open on Mondays, offering visitors and tourists the opportunity to admire the world’s oldest enclosed theater every day of the week for a full year.
“We want to ensure that the city's most beloved and visited monument remains open even on the day when the Civic Museums are traditionally closed to the public. At the end of July, we announced that the Teatro Olimpico will close at the end of 2027 for about a year to undergo essential earthquake safety measures and restoration work on the complex and roof. We have therefore decided to make Mondays available for an entire year so everyone can experience Andrea Palladio's masterpiece,” highlights Ilaria Fantin, Deputy Mayor for Culture, Tourism, and City Attractiveness.
The Teatro Olimpico will be open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM from November 2, 2026, to June 30, 2027. During July and August 2027, daily opening hours will be from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Last entry is 30 minutes before closing time.
“In addition, together with Vicenza turismo cultura – VTC, we will be offering exclusive guided tours and special activities to highlight the theater, with full details to be announced in the coming weeks,” concludes Fantin.
