Here are the current opening times for the Civic Museums of Vicenza:
From Tuesday to Sunday, the Olympic Theatre, the Civic Museum of Palazzo Chiericati, the Church of Santa Corona and the Natural history and archaeological Museum can be visited from 09 to 17.
Inside the Olympic Theatre it is possible to watch a free show of music and lights called “Pop Palladio Olympic Project” available from Tuesday to Sunday at 09.30, 10.30, 11.30 and 14,30, 15.30,16.30. The show lasts approximately 10 minutes.
The Risorgimento and Resistance Museum is open 09-13 and 14.14-17 from Tuesday to Sunday. The admission to the Risorgimento and Resistance museum is free of charge.
Last admission to all museums 30 minutes before closure.
The Galleries of Palazzo Thiene can be visited from Thursday to Sunday, 09-17 (last entrance at 16.30).
At the Risorgimento and Resistance Museum it is possible to see some important documents written by the Vicentinian architect Antonio Caregaro Negrin (1821-1898) on military and patriotic engineering activities during the First Italian War of Independence. 2021 marks the bicentenary of Negrin’s birth, who has been a significant and exemplary figure in the cultural life of the 19th century.

The Basilica Palladiana is open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday, 10 to 18 (last admission at 17.30). The Basilica will be closed from 9th to 5th May 2022 and will then reopen on the 13th May.
From 13th May it will be possible to visit the building exclusively for the “AndràTuttoBene” exhibition, showcased in the loggias on the first floor and promoted by the Veneto Region in collaboration with Teatro Stabile del Veneto. The exhibition is about drawings, letters and texts created by children during the forced lockdown caused by the pandemic.
This exhibition can be visited from 13th May from 14 to 18 and from 14th May to 5th June from 10 to 18 (last entrance at 17.30, closed on Mondays). The entrance to the exhibition is free of charge and can be accessed from the stairs facing Piazzetta Palladio.
The main hall of the Basilica will reopen to the public on the 5th June, from 10 to 18 (last entrance at 17.30, closed on Mondays).
The terrace with the cafè service will open on 20th May, every Friday and Saturday from 19 to 01 am, and on Sunday from 18.30 to 23 (last entrance 30 min before closure).
The terrace can be visited by tourists starting from 5th June 2022, every Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 18 (last entrance at 17.30).
The Tourist Information Office in Piazza Matteotti 12 is open every day from 9 to 17.30 (tel. 0444 320854) whereas the Tourist infopoint inside the Basilica Palladiana is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10 -18, starting from the 5th of June.
